Dr. Jeffrey Melton DDS, MS






After earning his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry, his Biology and Chemistry
degree from the University of New Mexico, and his Periodontal degree from
the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dr. Jeffrey Melton
brought his clinical skills and compassionate care to New Mexico. He is a
graduate of Sandia High School and grew up in Algodones, New Mexico.

While at Baylor Dental School he received the Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award
from the International College of Implantology. Subsequently, he was the first
graduate student accepted into a 5 year residency in a double degree of Graduate
Periodontology and Graduate Prosthodontics. He also received a Masters of
Science Degree from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, UT San Antonio.

As the only dentist in New Mexico with a dual degree in Periodontics and
Prosthodontics and the only board-certified periodontist in Santa Fe, New
Mexico, he is in demand for his unique qualities to speak at Continuing Education
meetings throughout the United States. He has presented at such universities
as Boston University and the University of Texas Health Sciences. He lectures
frequently on implants, prosthodontics and other clinical matters at national
dental meetings, dental colleges and study clubs. In addition, he has authored an
academic article on Periodontitis for Spec. Care Dentist Journal.

Dr. Melton is a member in good standing with many prestigious dental
organizations, including the American Dental Association, American College
of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of
Periodontology, New Mexico Dental Association, Santa Fe District Dental Society
and Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is President  of the
Santa Fe District Dental Society, and a diplomate of the American Board of
Periodontology.
